Debug information[]
The combination Ctrl + Shift + S will show some debug information at the top left of the screen. It displays the FPS and some other values.
Inventory hacking[]
Some objects cannot be put in the inventory, but by using cheats or SimPE, it is possible to add them to the inventory.
- Mystery Sim is technically an object. While its physical appearance (invisible) is never seen, it can be seen in the memories of some Sims.
Placeholder box[]
The placeholder box is a technical object form, who goes by several different names and properties (one example is *Emitter - Custom - Track Sim).
Access buy mode when you cannot[]
If the player manages to get into buy mode when the player cannot, it will look like this. The buy mode button is not selected and the build mode button cannot be accessed at all.
To get into Buy Mode during these moments, click on it right before the game disables the access to the buy mode & build mode buttons. Remember, once you exit, you cannot get back in. You have to wait until that action block has ended.
Incorrect text[]
The game gives out incorrect text for a few actions. The following actions bring incorrect text:
- Trying to draw a wall close to a pet will cause the game to say that the wall is too close to a Sim.
- Trying to remove the pool when the pool lamps are there, the game says that either the springboard or pool ladder object has to be removed first.

Typos[]
Whenever the hard drive space is below the line the game recommends, it will display a message on the screen before the game starts. The Swedish one (which reads as "Du börjar få ont om hårddsikutrymme och kan få problem med spelet under dessa förhållanden. Är du säker på att du vill starta spelet?") contains a typo. dsik should be disk.
