Oddities or certain notes[]
Number | Name | Note |
---|---|---|
0 | BIGWTRFALL8 | Know what the number 0 means? Some stuff set the value to 0 by default. |
3 | CHEROKEECRUZ1L1 | Perhaps a such car was used for recording some of the Beetle SFX? |
4 | CAMAROLOAD_PS22MB_L1 | Perhaps a such car was used for recording some of the Beetle SFX? |
5 | CAMARO_CRUZ_L1 | Perhaps a such car was used for recording some of the Beetle SFX? |
11 | S_DRIVE | The scene that this sound plays in contradicts the name |
12 | S_HORN | The scene that this sound plays in contradicts the name |
28 | NULL | There's no need to have this sound because it is possible for any entity in the game to go without sound at all. This sound is actually used in Metro Madness. |
107 | PWRUPNITRO | This sound refers itself to as PWRUP (power-up) even though regular Nitro Boxes appear in the main tracks. |
115-120 | V_COVE to V_METRO | Follows the debug order of the main tracks |
123 | V_HOWDY | "HOWDY" = How do you do?. However, David Kaye instead says "Welcome". In the Australian version, Todd Levi instead says "G'day" |
125 | POINTS_1 | This indicates that the 2-Point Bonus Box was once the 1-Point Bonus Box |
135 | HEALTH_BAD | This one must have been intended for Beetle Battle. In the final version, it only plays when you destroy the huts in Inferno Isle Oddly, it isn't tagged as speech meaning if the sound is on (but the speech is off), you'll still hear it. |
142 | V_SPLIT_60 | The split "timer" disappears when it reaches 1 minute (60 seconds) |
156 | PLYRHORN | The player isn't restricted to just this horn, so this name makes no sense |
184 | V_DUEL | Comes between V_BEETLEBAT and V_ONE_PLAYER Two Player was once called Duel |
220 | V_AWARD_A | For some reason, it comes before 221 (V_AWARD_N) As it turns out, these three sounds respectively are put in alphabetical order |
223 | SLOWDOWN | Fish Eye in Beetle Battle doesn't really slow down the victims, it just zooms out the camera. |
229 | V_MULTIPLYR | The announcer (International: David Kaye, Australia: Todd Levi) says Two Player instead of Multiplayer. |
249 | V_CHAMPION | Completely unnecessary note but... you're the champion! It's the last sound after all. |
Unused[]
Technically, all sounds are used with the help of the Horn cheat but this section covers sounds that do not play natively anywhere in the game and instead have to be called by that particular cheat.
To do: Is this one really used in the game? |
Name: CHURCH
Info: Hasn't been heard anywhere in the game.
Notes: The only known church in the game, the one at the end of the town in Wicked Woods, plays WWCLKCHIME instead.
Instruments[]
The game has a bit of instruments that are unused.
